PQA Shrewsbury, based at Shrewsbury Academy every Saturday is a weekend performing arts school for children, offering acting, drama, comedy, and filmmaking. We create a nurturing environment in which our students can explore many areas of the performing arts world whilst having the best time and making firm friends with shared interests.
Our weekly sessions include Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television for children and young people aged 4-18. At PQA Shrewsbury, we are passionate about delivering first-class performing arts sessions giving children the space to learn new skills, make friends, build self-belief, all in a safe and welcoming environment while they explore the world of performing arts.
The best part, there is no need to pick just one class, PQA's weekly three-hour sessions explore:
• Comedy & Drama class: your child will learn creative play, Improv and scriptwriting
• Musical Theatre class: your child will learn to sing, dance and act for theatre
• Film & Television class: your child will start to storyboard, screenwrite, film and act for television
Led by Principal Raj and a talented team of teachers, we're passionate about what we do, and we strongly believe that the important life skills your child gains at PQA - like confidence, resilience and communication - will stick with them throughout life!
Our team of industry professionals are here to help, guide and nurture your child on whichever path they choose - Comedy and Drama, Musical Theatre or Television and Film. Whether that be performing on-stage at His Majesty's Theatre in the West End to seeing your child's latest Film & TV work on the big screen - there's something for everyone at PQA. In addition to the exciting opportunities available at PQA, we also empower children to delve into other creative aspects of the performing arts industry. Take a look below at the exciting things we have coming up at PQA Shrewsbury.

I worked with Nivea on a product tour around the country during Cancer Research UK's Race for Life campaign, as a backing dancer for Boy George and many more productions around the UK.
