Did you know there’s a surprising connection between those who play on the field and those who perform on the stage? At PQA, we see it every week. With so many of our students, alumni, Principals and teachers sharing a huge love for football, it’s easy to spot how closely the values of both worlds align. Confidence, teamwork, discipline, passion, whether you’re stepping onto the pitch or stepping into the spotlight, the mindset is remarkably similar.

And with Scotland qualifying for the World Cup for the first time since the 90s, there’s plenty to celebrate. It’s a moment that captures the same excitement, ambition and drive we champion across every academy.

Football and Performing Arts: More Connected Than You Think

Football and performing arts might seem like two different worlds, but they build many of the same powerful life skills:

  •        Teamwork: working together to achieve something bigger
  •        Confidence: stepping up when it matters
  •        Focus: staying present and committed
  •        Creativity: finding new ways to express yourself
  •        Coordination: using your body with purpose
  •        Resilience: getting back up when things get tough

At PQA, we develop these skills through performance. Football develops them through play. But whether you’re on a stage or on a pitch, you’re learning how to communicate, collaborate, and believe in yourself.

Some academies also offer Poppets (ages 4–6), an energetic 90-minute class introducing young children to singing, dancing and acting.

Does My Child Need Performing Arts Experience?

PQA welcomes all children, whether they’re complete beginners or already confident performers. There’s no audition needed to join.
