PQA Northwood offers performing arts sessions for children every Friday evening at Northwood School.
Our weekly classes include Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television for children and young people aged 4-18. At PQA Northwood, we are passionate about offering great performing arts sessions giving children the space to learn new skills, make friends, build self-belief, all in a safe and welcoming environment while they explore the world of performing arts.
The best part, there is no need to pick just one class, PQA's weekly three-hour sessions explore:
• Comedy & Drama class: your child will learn creative play, Improv and scriptwriting
• Musical Theatre class: your child will learn to sing, dance and act for theatre
• Film & Television class: your child will start to storyboard, screenwrite, film and act for television
Headed by Principal Lisa and an amazing team of teachers, we're passionate about what we do, and we strongly believe that the important life skills your child gains at PQA - like confidence, resilience and communication - will stick with them throughout life!
Our academy runs every Friday evening, but if you are looking for a Saturday morning session, please visit our sister academy PQA Ruislip.
We also offer children the opportunity to delve into other creative aspects of the performing arts industry. Our team of industry professionals are here to help, guide and nurture your child on whichever path they choose: Comedy and Drama, Musical Theatre or Television and Film. Whether that be performing on-stage at His Majesty's Theatre in the West End to seeing your child's latest Film & TV work on the big screen - there's something for everyone at PQA. Take a look below at the exciting things we have coming up at PQA Northwood.

Hello and a very warm welcome to PQA! I have been involved in the performing arts industry from an early age, taking my first role in the TV series “Devices and Desires” at the age of 13. Since then I have forged a successful career as an actress, director and teacher having graduated from The Central School of Speech and Drama in London in 1998. My work in theatre includes various West End productions, The Donmar Warehouse and a variety of roles for The Royal Shakespeare Company.
