Darcey Chambers

Darcey has been performing since she was nine years old, when she made her professional debut at Manchester Literature Festival as Lucy in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. A former Drama Scholar at the Royal Grammar School, Worcester, she is currently training in Acting at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She also works professionally with a company providing immersive, site specific and heritage performances. As someone who has been acting since she was a child, Darcey has worked on a wide variety of productions, from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to Musical Theatre pieces such as Sunshine on Leith. She has a passion for all elements of theatre and film, including working behind the scenes. In 2023 Darcey made her directorial debut, directing a York university production of The Addams Family. Darcey adores helping the students to explore their passion for the performing arts and helping them to develop confidence both on and off stage.

Harry Haynes

Harry is excited to join the team at PQA Worcester as Film and TV Assistant during his gap year and share his love of film production with students whilst working in the department. A previous student at PQA Harry has won student awards for TV presenting and for short film making. He enjoys working both behind and in front of camera.

Huw Blainey

Huw studied Actor Musicianship at Rose Bruford College graduating with a BA (1st Class) Honours Degree in 2014. He has spent the majority of his career performing in a wide variety of theatre productions including several for various companies in Wales as well as The Borrowers at the New Vic Theatre (Newcastle-under-lyme), The Snow Queen at Theatre by the Lake (Keswick) and a UK and International Tour of War Horse for National Theatre Productions. As well as acting, Huw is a multi-instrumentalist and a keen singer winning the 2018 Wilbert Lloyd Roberts Memorial Scholarship awarded by the National Eisteddfod at the Wales Millennium Centre for his performance in the Musical Theatre Solo competition. He currently appears as Hywel, a magical farmer, in a children’s TV series called Fferm Fach showing on S4C and BBC iPlayer. Huw is extremely excited to work with PQA Worcester!

Louis Lampard

Sarah Stone

Sarah studied singing and trumpet at Birmingham University and Conservatoire, fronting a successful 70s cover band whilst gaining a Degree in Classical Singing and a Masters - in Music Psychology. After 15 years heading the Education Department at Symphony Hall in Birmingham, during which she created a nationally recognised singing programme, serendipity sent her in the direction of teaching singing, and she hasn’t looked back since. She is a firm believer in the many benefits that learning the art of singing brings and has spent the past 12 years studying how the voice works and how to help individuals develop their individual singing talent. She promotes voice care, regular performance experience and the creation of personal singing goals, harnessing the most up to date resources currently available to singing teachers. Having worked for many arts organisations including County Music Services in both Birmingham and Worcestershire she currently teaches at the King’s School, Worcester, King’s Hawford, from her own private studio and has the pleasure of being Musical Director for PQA Worcester.

Summer Hughes

Summer is excited to join the team at PQA Worcester during her gap year to support Green Group. Summer is passionate about Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre.

Teagan Melville

Teagan made her West End debut in Gangsta Granny in 2016, at The Harold Pinter Theatre. Prior to this, she was an associate of The Royal Ballet School, Elmhurst and Tap Attack. She furthered her training at Laine Theatre Arts, where she was elected head girl, gaining a first class BA (Hons) degree in Musical Theatre and graduated into an arena tour which played in venues such as the O2 and Wembley. Whilst completing her training Teagan taught at the English National Ballet School, assisting with the Juniors’ programme, and developing their current associate scheme. Teagan is very excited to be joining PQA Worcester and can’t wait to get started!
