I am so proud to be the Principal of PQA Derby and a member of a great theatrical family, such as the PQA. The power of creation & imagination are essential tools for life. We will inspire and create a safe and nurturing place for people to explore and enhance their abilities. We look forward to imparting our knowledge and experience to all who are willing. Here's to the start of an incredible journey for all of us. There's no business like show business! It's as unique as you are.

I trained as an actor in 1981-83 gaining my qualifications from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. My first professional job was as an actor/teacher in Theatre in Education, touring the Midlands. I then worked in television for many years appearing in countless programmes from Howard's Way, Dr. Who, Chuckle Vision, & Crimewatch! I also worked in theatres all over the UK, appearing in everything from Shakespeare to Pantomime. I've run several youth theatres and worked as a show producer & director for companies across the UK. My passion for theatre and performance is second to none. I have seen how young people thrive in such an open environment. Many of my past students have gone into the profession themselves, whilst others have gained the confidence and imagination to be successful in other walks of life.
