PQA Colchester is a weekend performing arts academy based at the Philip Morant Academy with classes in comedy, drama, film, and musical theatre for all skill levels. We welcome students aged 4-18 years based in Ardleigh, Brightlingsea, Coggeshall, Clacton-on-Sea, Frinton-on-Sea, Halstead, Harwich, Great Bentley, Lawford, Lexden, Maldon, Marks Tey, Mersea Island, Oakley, Ramsey, Stanway, Sudbury, Tiptree, Wivenhoe and Walton-on-the-Naze.

We offer many ways for young people to shine, from thrilling performance opportunities to behind-the-scenes roles in productions. Every class aims to expand their knowledge and love for the performing arts.

We pride ourselves on having cultivated a community driven space for young people. Led by a team of passionate professionals, we guide each child in developing their unique talents in drama, musical theatre, and film. We welcome children and teens to try our performing arts classes by attending a full session at no charge. Come along and discover what makes PQA so unique, meet the team and join in the fun!

Your academy Principal will let you know how to become a member after your free session. Your child’s place is held for a few days after your session, giving you time to decide if PQA is the right choice for your child.
