Every Saturday, PQA Cheltenham is a performing arts school that offers fun, high-energy performing arts sessions for children, located at Pates Grammar School, providing creative drama, acting and filmmaking.
Our weekly sessions include Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television for children and young people aged 4-18. At PQA Cheltenham, we are passionate about delivering first-class performing arts sessions giving children the space to learn new skills, make friends, build self-belief, all in a safe and welcoming environment while they explore the world of performing arts.
The best part, there is no need to pick just one class, PQA's weekly three-hour sessions explore:
• Comedy & Drama class: your child will learn creative play, Improv and scriptwriting
• Musical Theatre class: your child will learn to sing, dance and act for theatre
• Film & Television class: your child will start to storyboard, screenwrite, film and act for television
Led by Principal Sue and a talented team of teachers, we're passionate about what we do, and we strongly believe that the important life skills your child gains at PQA - like confidence, resilience and communication - will stick with them throughout life!
In addition to the exciting opportunities available at PQA, we also empower children to delve into other creative aspects of the performing arts industry. Our team of industry professionals are here to help, guide and nurture your child on whichever path they choose – Comedy and Drama, Musical Theatre or Television and Film. Whether that be performing on-stage at His Majesty's Theatre in the West End to seeing your child's latest Film & TV work on the big screen - there's something for everyone at PQA. Take a look below at the exciting things we have coming up at PQA Cheltenham.

At PQA Cheltenham we enjoy celebrating the success of every student and hold regular showcases which parents are invited to. Each term a different lesson is showcased and our final year showcase for Film & TV is held at Cineworld, where we dress up for our "World Premiere Red Carpet" screening of the student's films. Students at PQA Cheltenham work hard and their reward is a training in performance which not only gives them artistic skills and confidence but which celebrates them as individuals.
