Amelia Wring

Amelia is a Bristol born filmmaker and creative. After graduating from Screenology Film School in 2023, she has been working in the Camera Department for Film and TV and Bristol Old Vic Live Theatre. In her spare time she loves to writes scripts and make short films with her friends; some of her films have been nominated for awards in writing and cinematography! Amelia is looking forward to sharing her passion and knowledge of filmmaking with the students of PQA Bristol!

Amiee PreFontaine

Amiee is a writer and creative from London. After graduating with a first class degree in English and Drama from the University of Exeter, Amiee settled in Bristol. Growing up performing in community theatre, and with experience as a teaching assistant as part of Putney Arts Theatre and PQA Exeter, Amiee is passionate about helping to inspire the next generation of performers at PQA Bristol!

Benjamin Cain

I’m currently in my second year of the BA Professional Acting degree at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School with the goal of working professionally on stage and screen. I studied Musical Theatre and Acting at a local theatre school when I was younger and understand the joy of attending Performing Arts classes from a young age! As I grew older, I worked as a teaching assistant and teacher at the same theatre school, before moving to Bristol to train at BOV. I have a passion for teaching and love seeing the next generation flourish in their growth as performers and individuals!

Cara Crozier-Cole

Ellie Looker

Ellie first joined PQA at the age of 11 and it’s where her love for performing began. That passion lead her to study Musical Theatre at the University of Winchester. While training, she performed in a wide range of shows and worked at PQA Eastleigh as a teaching assistant, which sparked her love for teaching. During her degree, Ellie booked her first professional role as the lead actor in a BBC3 documentary series, which introduced her to screen work and inspired her to continue exploring that side of the industry. Ellie will be going to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School this year to study their MA in Screen Acting. Outside of her studies, Ellie spent the last two summers in America working as the theatre director at a summer camp, where she choreographed and directed eight shows in just eight weeks. Working with children of all ages in such a fast-paced environment gave her amazing experience in creating exciting, engaging performances in a short space of time. Ellie is thrilled to be part of the PQA team and can’t wait to share her love of theatre with the students!

Holly Ford Langstaff

Holly is a performer with a passion for all three musical theatre disciplines. She is currently studying Music at the University of Bristol, and last year on top of her degree, she also completed a diploma in Acting at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. While now teaching and performing all styles of dance, Holly's particular love is for Ballet and Modern in which she completed her advanced 2 RAD and ISTD exams respectively. This year as well as working at PQA, she is leading Bristol university's Shakespeare society as Vice-President!

Jack Twell

Jack is a Screenology graduate and Bristol based filmmaker specialising primarily in Pre-Production and Scriptwriting. His passion for telling stories is only matched by his passion for hearing them. Having discovered his love of filmmaking at a very young age, he loves sharing and generating that love and passion with future generations!

Lily Maryon

Lily is a performer and theatre facilitator who is no stranger to PQA! She started working at PQA Bristol right after graduating, working her way up from Assistant to Poppets and Comedy & Drama teacher. Since then, she’s enjoyed being a cover teacher at different academies across the South West. She trained at Rose Bruford, where she spent a semester abroad at Clemson University in South Carolina. She's loved facilitating workshops and drama lessons for young people at places like Acting Out, Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Stepping Out Theatre, and Unique Voice. In addition to her teaching, Lily is part of the sketch comedy group ‘Biscuit Barrel' as a writer and sketch comedian, who she has enjoyed two successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Nelly Weston

Nelly is a playwright and performer who recently completed her MA Drama Writing at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, having received a first class BA in Drama from the University of Exeter in 2021. She loves devising with large ensembles and writing playful work that finds the humour in the tragic and everyday. She’s had a passion for theatre since she was 10 years old, and is eager to instil that passion into the future generations of creators and performers!

Rebecca Hennessey

I have been very fortunate to work as a Drama and Performing Arts teacher in several different secondary schools and have now settled in Bristol. I then joined the Amateur Dramatic scene of the city and have thrown myself into BAOS performing in large scale musicals and smaller showcases each year ranging from ensemble to soloist, to lead roles to now chair of the Adult Company. I later joined BLOC and have trained with the street dance group Sublime plus attended several Jazz, Lyrical and MT dance classes. Through my involvement in these companies, I have met incredible performers and artists who have introduced me to exciting opportunities. During BAOS’ Footloose The Musical, I met and worked with Principal Carly who directed the production. I enjoyed working with her so much as Chair of the company as well as performing the role of Vi Shaw, that when the position of Academy Manager came up, I couldn’t say no! I looked at the incredible opportunities PQA offers young people and was totally in awe! I am so excited to work with an amazing team to bring theatre magic to young people's lives.

Ryan McKenzie

Ryan is so excited to join the team at PQA as a teacher of Comedy & Drama. He currently also teaches LAMDA lessons in Acting, Musical Theatre and Public Speaking at two schools and as a home tutor. Ryan also worked at Artisan Theatre School in Hampshire where he was involved in putting together their production of 'Bugsy Malone' in addition to teaching drama. Ryan has previously worked as a singer on-board various cruise lines and has appeared in the US touring show 'The 12 Tenors'. Ryan also was fortunate enough to perform in the parade at Disneyland Paris.
