Serving up a Great Theatre Trip for Students

PQA WOLVERHAMPTON students travelled to Birmingham on Tuesday
evening to see the amazing musical Waitress on it’s first UK tour.
“Students had a fabulous time and really enjoyed the show and the
experience”, said Principal Julian. “It is really important to their development
that students get to see theatre live no matter what it is. This has been a
good year for shows with visits to see The Addams Family, School of Rock
and now Waitress, later in the year we are taking a group to see The
Tempest at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre too”.
“It is also a good opportunity to socialise, classes can be very busy and we
rarely stop during sessions, events like these are bonding both within the
groups and with students in other classes too”.
In July PQA Wolverhampton students will be visiting London to see The
Tempest and also to take part in Workshops at The Globe as well as a
backstage tour offering them a chance to understand not only the context of
the play but also the technical aspects of an outdoor performance.
