PQA Torbay take to the red carpet

The students from PQA Torbay held their 2017 cinema screening on Monday 6th November at the state-of-the-art Vue Cinema in Paignton.

PQA Torbay held a red carpet premiere where students, their friends and family came together to watch their film projects on the big screen. The aspiring actors and film makers were treated to an exciting and glamorous event they will never forget!

Two of the films shown at the screening, Virus and Wear Blue, were advocated by the charity Bullying UK for promotional purposes ahead of ‘Wear Blue’ on 10th November.

The Academy is also fresh from their hugely successful performance of The Lazy Ace, a show written specially for PQA students, that they performed in July at Shaftesbury Theatre in London’s West End.

Principal of PQA Torbay, Victoria Whelan said: ‘The students should be incredibly proud of everything they have achieved this year. Their focus and dedication has been inspiring and they have been rewarded with a brilliant West End performance and lots of exciting films to share with friends and family.’

If that wasn’t enough, the young starlets are set to take to the stage next year at The Palace Theatre in their production of High School Musical Jr.!
