PQA Swindon mentioned at International Film Festival

Congratulations to PQA Swindon’s Red Group AM, who have had a ‘special mention’ at this year’s Marbella International Film Festival! 800 entries from over 80 countries and they were in the top section!

PQA Swindon Red Group students led by Director Taylor Claxton (17) created their first full group short film, ‘Unrequited?’ entirely cast and crewed by 12 – 17 year olds, who devised the film on themes of teenage heart ache and looking at teen Rom Coms based on classics like 10 things I Hate About You (The Taming of the Shrew). They chose as their inspiration Jane Austin’s ‘Emma’ with a little Shakespeare’s ‘Comedy of Errors’ for good measure.

A massive thank you to our wonderful Film & TV Teacher Doug! He will be going to Marbella next month to collect our award!

This short film will be part of our Cinema Screening 2017 at the Empire Cinema in Greenbridge, Swindon, on January 22nd.
