PQA Scarborough students perform with professional theatre company

In February 2016, students from PQA Scarborough took part in a huge piece of community theatre, ‘The Song of Leviathan’, with Animated Objects Theatre Company.

The performance that included over 100 local performers including some students from PQA was a part of Coastival, a Scarborough festival for culture and the arts.

As well as taking part in rehearsals and performances at the Scarborough Spa, the students also took part in three workshop rehearsals at the Academy in the run-up to the event.

Animated Objects Theatre Company are a widely recognised theatre company based in Scarborough. Their largest productions to date involved over 10,000 people across the span of two years working on the ‘Sporting Ginats’ celebrations for the 2012 games.

Dawn and Lee, the artistic directors at Animated Objects, were delighted by the hard work, commitment and professional attitude from the PQA students.

It was a fantastic event and a really incredible project.
