PQA Monologue Slam

PQA Monologue Slam

This year over 50 PQA’s from across the UK took part in the annual Monologue Slam where thousands of PQA students aged between 6 and 18 yrs worked on their very own monologues! Each academy then went on to choose one winner per Academy age group entering them into the national competition with a chance to perform their monologues in London!

Out of over 150 finalists PQA Harrogate are delighted to announce that Red Group student, Daisy, was one of the fabulously talented finalists! 😊

In September of this year Daisy travelled down to London and got to visit PQA’s full-time school: PQA Studios! Here Daisy had the AMAZING opportunity to take part in a workshop with West End Director, Ed Burnside, before taking to the stage with her winning performance.

Daisy performed not only to an audience of family and friends but to members of PQA HQ, West End Director Ed Burnside, Casting Director Nikki Meadows and TV and Stage actor, writer and director Charlie Quirke!

Daisy represented PQA Harrogate admirably and she absolutely shined on stage! Her performance had the audience in stitches of laughter with her wonderfully thought-out comic timing and commitment to character. We are SUPER PROUD of Daisy and all of us here at PQA can’t wait to take part in next year’s Monologue Slam in 2020!
