PQA Hull’s Roald Dahl Masterclass

On Saturday 11th March, the students from PQA Hull were visited by Andrew and Eve Pearson-Wright from The Long Lane Theatre Company.

The Masterclass opened with a 20 minute play that looked at the power of imagination and storytelling. This interactive show was followed by a workshop designed to show the students how they could turn the mundane everyday into the magical and memorable.

Eve trained at Mountview and graduated in 2006. Since then she has been lucky enough to work all around the world from Nigeria to Lapland, Hong Kong to the West End in Theatre, Film and Television.  Eve was back in the West End last year in Aliens Love Underpants at The Dominion Theatre.

Andrew can currently be seen on television in adverts for Thomson Holidays, eBay and Beagle Street Insurance. He graduated from The Drama Centre in 2003 and has appeared in numerous stage productions since then.

The Long Lane Theatre Company has a new show “The Giant Killers” touring theatres in 2017.

“Offering specialist industry Masterclasses is just one way that we enhance our students’ experience at PQA,” said Principal James Aconley. “The Roald Dahl Masterclass with Long Lane is fantastic, and I know the skills that Andrew and Eve taught our students will become very valuable as they create their own performances”.
