PQA Hull perform Roald Dahl short plays
In May 2017, the students from PQA Hull performed three short plays inspired by some of Roald Dahl’s greatest childrens’ stories.
Excerpts from ‘The Twits’, ‘Matilda’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ were brought to life by the students in a series of short performances.
The afternoon was inspired by a Masterclass the students took part in by Long Lane Theatre Company, a professional touring company. In the Masterclass, the actors performed a short play before exploring character development techniques with the students, using the work of Roald Dahl as inspiration.
“The students worked very hard on this project, and the final performances really demonstrated all of the effort that was put into rehearsals”, said Principal James Aconley. “I can’t wait to see what’s in store in the future for our PQA students”.
