PQA Hull Open Day – 14th January
PQA Hull are excited to open their doors this January for their Open Day welcoming lots of new students into the PQA family ahead of a very exciting 2023!
The team at PQA Hull are passionate about performing arts, with a collective breadth of professional and teaching experience to ensure the students receive the best weekend performing arts tuition. At PQA students work in three age groups, 6-9 years, 10 to 12 years and over 13’s. There is also a Poppets class for 4-5 year olds! Through a fun and friendly atmosphere, students at PQA Hull, are encouraged to explore their unique creativity with expert guidance from the team.
Classes in Musical Theatre, Comedy & Drama and Film & Television are adapted to each age group, allowing children to progress during their time with PQA. No previous experience is required, and children grow in confidence with many opportunities to learn and perform in a safe space in their classes, as well as performances on stage and screen.
Live performances allow students to develop personal, creative and performance skills, building on what they have learned in their weekend academy. Cinema screenings are a fantastic opportunity for students to celebrate their own written and produced short films.
New students at PQA Hull will get the chance to take part in fun, rewarding projects which develop their acting, singing, and filmmaking skills. In May, students will take to the stage at Middleton Hall with their production of We Will Rock You. There’s another exciting project to be announced in January too which will be a dream come true for young performers – watch this space!
One of the benefits of a PQA membership is the opportunity to be represented by PQA’s exclusive in-house agency Quirky Kidz. All PQA students are welcome to attend a Casting Day, and students joining the PQA Hull academy will be eligible to join the agency too, with Casting Days taking place in spring 2023.
Booking is now open for PQA Hull’s Open Day is now open. The Open Day includes a full three-hour academy session at no charge, covering all three PQA modules. Parents can watch classes, meet the team, enjoy refreshments, and may even see a performance of work at the end of the session. One lucky student will have the chance to win a free term at PQA Hull in the free prize draw for parents.
