PQA Harrogate students take to the stage at the Grand Opera House in York

On Sunday 27th May, PQA Harrogate’s PM Academy took to the stage at the Grand Opera House in York. Alongside fellow Academies, PQA Hull and PQA York, to perform PQA’s hit musical Show ‘The Magical Mind of Cory Clagget!’

Students sang and performed a mix of hit songs including Firework, Stronger, Bad Blood and Hey Mickey to a packed audience. The audience were on their feet, the staff were left speechless and the students performed their hearts out in what shaped up to be a very special night for all who attended and took part.

In an additional twist PQA Principal Kellie had arranged for a surprise guest to attend the show – none other than a Trinity College London Examiner who has since marked the students for their Musical Theatre in Production exam. We are delighted to announce that every student who took part in the show has passed the exam with flying colours, all receiving distinctions. Students will be rewarded with a fantastic Trinity College London examination certificate!

Principal Kellie said, “the Academy has only been running for a short time and for our students to pull out a performance at the level they did – we as a staff really couldn’t ask for anything more! There were laughs, tears, claps and a standing ovation – I couldn’t be any prouder of how our students behaved and performed throughout the whole experience. Congratulations PQA Harrogate – you absolutely smashed it!”
