PQA Enfield’s students perform in The Sound of Musicals

PQA Enfield Sunday performed in ‘The Sound of Musicals’; their very first Musical Theatre, Film & TV and Comedy and Drama Showcase at The Dugdale Theatre.

Students presented a wonderful selection of work from the spring/summer term to a full house of family and friends.

Green Group transported the audience back to the dazzling 1920’s with their energetic Bugsy Malone Medley. For their Comedy and Drama piece, they performed a wonderful ensemble piece to Roald Dahl’s The Twits. They also treated the audience to their very first film short ‘Where is my Teddy?’.

Our Blue Group students performed a captivating Matilda Medley, which saw our students perform challenging choreography and songs from this much-loved musical; Naughty; Revolting Children and The School Song. For their Drama piece, students performed an ensemble, stylized group piece to ‘Our Teacher is a Troll’. They also treated the audience to their very first short film ‘Maps’.

Finally, our older students performed a wonderful Bob Fosse medley which incorporated songs from Chicago the musical. For their comedy and drama piece, they performed scenes from the comedic play ‘Teechers’. The audience were also treated to their very first Film Noir Short ‘Lullaby’.

We also presented some of our Film and TV highlights videos, showing students exploring method acting in a monologues montage as well as melodramatic acting for screen and silent slapstick comedy. The showcase ended with a wonderful full company rendition of ‘When I Grow Up’.

We received some wonderful feedback from parents that we wanted to share with you:
