PQA Chislehurst & Sidcup red carpet film event in the newspapers

Aspiring actors and film-makers from PQA Chislehurst and Sidcup walked down the red carpet, just like the Hollywood stars, at the premiere of their film projects at Showcase Cinema in Bluewater on Sunday 13th December.

Students at PQA receive training every Saturday in Film & Television alongside modules in Musical Theatre and Comedy & Drama and students worked for many months writing, shooting, acting and editing their short films for the screening.

“The quality of these films was simply outstanding,” said Heather Smith, Principal of PQA Chislehurst and Sidcup. “The students worked incredibly hard on these projects and it’s so exciting to see how they’ve used the techniques of television and film to tell some brilliant stories.”

One film, ‘The Blue Balloon’, was entered into the Nikon Film Festival and The Limelight Film Awards in London and gained runner up!

Student’s celebrated with an after party Oscar Awards Ceremony at Elite Venue in Gravesend and student’s from Dartford, Bexley, Bromley and South London took part gaining trophies in the following:
