PQA Cambridge to perform on a West End stage again

The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts in Cambridge is taking 70 students to perform at Her Majesty’s Theatre, home of Phantom of the Opera, this April!

Students aged between 6 and 18 from PQA Cambridge will be taking part in ‘The Lazy Ace’, singing, acting, and dancing, on the boards trodden by the likes of Michael Crawford, Sarah Brightman, Michael Ball, John Barrowman, and Claire Moore.

Students have been working tirelessly in rehearsals on this exciting project since September, in time for their performance in April. For many performers, the chance to perform on a West End Stage is once in a lifetime, but for some of the PQA Cambridge students, this will be their third visit with PQA.

Principal Mikey Kowalczyk says: “Our ethos at PQA is ‘Be Yourself, Be Amazing’, and I couldn’t be more proud of how amazing our students are every single day. They have worked so hard putting together what is going to be their best performance yet, and it fills me with joy to see students I have taught for the last 7 years growing from our youngest cast members into our principal cast!”
