PQA Cambridge has first Film & TV masterclass

On Saturday, students at PQA Cambridge had the chance to work with Brendan Shepperd, a professional Film and Television director and filmmaker.

The students loved his workshop and made some fantastic films! Brendan has worked for various companies including Sky, ITV and BBC. He began his career as an actor but quickly moved into working behind the camera when he found a passion for Directing. He has worked at CiTV with all the classic Children’s heroes including Sooty and Co, Roland Rat and Stephen Mulhern. Later he went on to work at the BBC and was part of a BAFTA nominated production Nelly Nut Live written by comedian Greg Davies. After this Brendan moved into Interactive Television and created CBBC eXtra, he was the first full time Producer/Director of the service before moving into Drama. He directed five episodes of the hit TV Series DinoSapien and his directing credits after this included Holby City, Casualty, EastEnders and he spent several years working behind the scenes for the DVDs of Doctor Who.

Brendan later went on to write and direct the award winning film ‘The Guilty’ before beginning his teaching career.
