PQA Brighton West presents “Piratanical”
Brighton West is very proud to announce that they will soon be setting sail on the high seas with “ Piratanical” , a brand new Musical Play written by Andrew Allen especially for our Academy.
We are equally proud to announce that the very first performance of “Piratanical” will be at the brand new Starboard Festival in Brighton on Saturday 2nd July 2016.
Get ready for a swashbuckling adventure as two great boats do battle at the B.O.A.T. Meet a gang of salty seadogs, including the villainous Captain Blondebeard, Scampi, Jack Spaniel, an angry parrot called Pavlov, an anxious seagull, and the girl who’s in charge of pirate radio.
The Starboard Festival is a brand new festival of outdoor performance by, for and with children and young people. Created in response to the inspiring and newly built Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT) this festival will create magical moments for children, young people and their families.
The festival will contain an eclectic mix of live performance by, for and with children and young people. The programme has locally made shows (by local schools, colleges, youth theatres and artists with a local following) during the week and outstanding shows from across the country over the three weekends of the festival.
