Be Confident, Be Creative and Be Connected at PQA
At PQA we’re always working on exciting projects to boost confidence and explore creativity. All of our amazing students have something unique to share, and it’s our job to bring out the best in each of them. They learn essential skills in a welcoming and friendly environment every week in our three core modules that cover Comedy & Drama, Film & Television and Musical Theatre.
Through our expert tuition, students at each of our academies across the UK can achieve great things, be it on stage, in a studio or behind a film camera, just by being themselves. The performing arts are perfect for developing key skills that are just as important to young people as they grow and learn, as they are in later life.
Be Confident
Confidence is fundamental to a young person’s development. The performing arts help young people build self-belief in a safe environment. Whether it’s practicing dance routines with their friends or showing off their performing talents in front of their families, our students are encouraged to go for it and try new things. We’re all about creating an environment where they can spread their wings, take risks and become the awesome individuals they were meant to be.
As well as regular showcases to celebrate the hard work and progress the children have made, each academy is invited to perform a spectacular show at His Majesty’s Theatre in London. It’s truly amazing to see our students experience the thrill and buzz of performing at a top West End theatre, with the knowledge that they have built up the skills to achieve amazing things both on and off the stage.
Be Creative
The performing arts are an exciting outlet for creativity. Whether learning a dance routine, acting in a play, or pitching a film idea, our students are given the chance to use their imaginations and express themselves however they may wish. Our PQA academies are creative, safe and supportive spaces that allows students to explore their ideas and bring them to life.
We understand the importance of nurturing creativity and empowering young people to find positive and innovative solutions. That’s why our performing arts training focuses on developing essential skills that contribute to students’ overall wellbeing. Our goal is to foster a love for the arts and equip our students with the tools they need to express themselves authentically. By cultivating their creative abilities, we’re not only helping them thrive artistically but also developing essential skills that will benefit them in many aspects of their lives.
Be Connected
The performing arts offer a wonderful platform for young people to come together, have fun, and create incredible memories. Whether rehearsing, performing on stage, or working on a film set, these are all unique opportunities for collaboration, self-expression, and personal growth. One of the great things about engaging in the performing arts is the sense of camaraderie and teamwork that develops among young performers.
Through the process of working towards a common goal, students build strong bonds and learn to work together. This fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone’s contributions are valued. In academy performances and film screenings our students have a platform to share their talents and stories with others. This ability to connect with others on an emotional level is a powerful tool that students can take beyond performances into all areas of their lives.
As you can see, there are many reasons why the performing arts can have a hugely positive impact on the lives of young people today. By nurturing these skills, PQA students will benefit in all walks of life and well into adulthood.
