Looking for weekend performing arts training for children in Leeds?
At the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts, we provide a combined programme of acting, musical theatre, singing and filmmaking for ages 4 to 18 years. Our goal is to help every child discover self-belief through creative performing arts academies which provide a safe and encouraging environment. More than a drama school for kids, PQA is a place where children and young people learn industry and life skills while having fun.
Parents in the Leeds area, and across the UK, choose PQA because our academy is inclusive, structured and welcoming for all. Our professional teachers, with backgrounds in theatre, film and TV, bring passion and real-world knowledge to every class.
PQA is more than a kids’ stage school. Through their performing arts training, children nurture their natural creativity and reach their full potential. Wherever they are starting from, PQA gives them the space and support to grow.
Our classes are tailored to suit each stage of development, ensuring the right mix of fun and challenge:
This ensures children enjoy learning while gaining skills appropriate to their age and confidence level. Every age group is encouraged to work as part of a team, celebrate each other's successes, and recognise their own progress.
PQA helps children grow as people as well as performers. Parents often notice improvements in confidence, school performance and communication. They discover how to listen carefully, support their peers, and celebrate achievements together. Beyond the stage, these lessons give children the tools to support them in everyday life. PQA becomes a place where children feel at home and where parents feel reassured their child is both safe and inspired.
