PQA York is a first-class performing arts school for children every Friday and Saturday, based at Huntington School, with performing arts sessions which combine acting, singing, dancing lessons, filming, and comedy.

Our weekly sessions include Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television for children and young people aged 4-18. At PQA York, we are passionate about giving children the space to be themselves, learn new skills, make new friends, all in a safe and welcome environment while they explore the world of Performing Arts. From Musical Theatre, to Comedy and Drama and Film & TV, there is something for everyone at PQA!

The best part, there is no need to pick just one class, PQA's weekly three-hour sessions explore:

•    Comedy & Drama class: your child will learn creative play, Improv and scriptwriting
•    Musical Theatre class: your child will learn to sing, dance and act for theatre
•    Film & Television class: your child will start to storyboard, screenwrite, film and act for television

Led by Principal James, Vice Principal Natalie and an exceptional team of teachers, we're passionate about what we do, and we strongly believe that the important life skills your child gains at PQA - like confidence, resilience and communication - will stick with them throughout life!

We welcome children and teens to try our performing arts classes by attending a full session at no charge. Come along and discover what makes PQA so unique, meet the team and join in the fun!

Your academy Principal will let you know how to become a member after your free session. Your child’s place is held for a few days after your session, giving you time to decide if PQA is the right choice for your child.
