PQA York is a multi-award-winning weekend performing arts academy, which has been providing high-quality performing arts training in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment since 2013.

Every Friday and Saturday, young people of York aged 4-18 take part in our sessions designed to provide industry level performing arts training combined with essential life and social skills.

Students aged 4-6 take part in our 90 minute Poppets class:

• Poppets: an introduction to performing arts building skills and encouraging creativity

Students aged 6-18 take part in our unique three-hour sessions, exploring:

• Comedy & Drama: devising, improvisation, and script work
• Film & Television: screenwriting, storyboarding, filming, and acting for camera
• Musical Theatre: singing, dancing, and acting for stage

PQA York runs at Huntington School which is a secure venue with plenty of parking and close to lots of amenities such as Vangarde Shopping Centre and Cineworld.

Led by Principal James and Vice Principal Nat, along with our experienced, DBS-checked and safeguarding-trained team, we're passionate about helping young people thrive and flourish.

Whether they dream of the stage, the screen, or simply want to build confidence, resilience, and friendships, PQA York is the place to be.
