My PQA Journey began when I was 9 years old. I attended PQA Coventry for 6 years and it moulded me into the actor I’ve become today. Being at PQA ignited a passion inside me and formed as an amazing stepping stone into the industry for me. After being a student I because a TA for a further 2 years at PQA Coventry and PQA Nuneaton & Hinckley giving me the foundation to be able to teach aspiring actors the same that was taught to me. Outside of PQA I have been focusing on my acting career diving into the film and tv industry for the last 6 years. Working with the likes of Netflix, Sky and the BBC and have worked extensively with directors, writers, producers and most importantly actors and wish to share my knowledge and experience with other people.

Amy Bird

Amy was raised on the the Isle of Wight and started out her professional performing career at just 18 years old, as the fourth member of Mike Nolan and David Van Day’s New Bucks Fizz, touring arenas and festivals. Professional credits include: Phantom of the Opera, The Rocky Horror Show (European Tour), Peter in Peter Pan opposite David Hasselhoff (New Wimbledon Theatre / Manchester Opera House) and Nancy in Oliver! (Gordon Craig Theatre). Amy can be seen singing with New Orleans ‘swamp soul’ band The Coalminers, appearing in prestigious music venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Chelsea’s 606 Jazz Club, and also with her own project; The Amy Bird Band. Now based in London, Amy runs talent agency Dale Hammond Associates and also works as Industry Liaison for Emil Dale Academy, Hitchin.

Charlotte Jaconelli

Charlotte trained at ArtsEd, and has worked in the Performing Arts industry for nearly 10 years. She has worked extensively in the West End, and as a Recording Artist with Sony Music UK/USA. Charlotte continues to travel Worldwide as a Classical singer after finishing as Runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012. Her most recent theatre credits include the Original Cast of ‘Heathers’ and the RSC’s ‘The Boy in the Dress’. She has been teaching Musical Theatre for the last 6 years to students of all ages and experience.

Philip McParland

Philip McParland trained at KSA before completing a degree in Musical Theatre from Canterbury Christchurch University. His recent pantomime credits include; Wizard of Oz and Aladdin at the Thameside Theatre for Sophisticated Entertainment and Dame Sally Starkers for Immersion Theatre and a series of touring pantomimes including Aladdin, Robin Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk for Shooting Stars Entertainment. Philip’s other theatre credits include West End to Broadway at Brentwood Theatre, Lead Vocalist for Warner Leisure Hotels; Narnia the Musical at Brentwood Theatre, Lead Vocalist for SeaCruiseUK and Fagin in a touring production of Oliver Twist.

Hi, I'm Rens. I trained at East 15 on the Contemporary Theatre course, as well as with Gecko on their residency program. In the past, I've run theatre youth camps with Action Theatre in Italy. I was also a member in the Dutch improv-comedy group Front Line Improv. I bring my experience into my sessions at PQA Woodford, as well as a healthy dose of explorative play!
