Glenn McAllen-Finney

For almost 20 years, I’ve been diving head-first into the world of zero-budget indie filmmaking — proving time and time again that you don’t need a blockbuster budget to make a brilliant movie! Ever since I picked up my first camera at 13, I’ve been obsessed with telling stories, and I’ve now produced, directed, and edited hundreds of narrative and corporate films. These days, I run my own production company, Chrome Video, working with all kinds of businesses big and small. And my very first company, GM Finney Productions, still keeps my indie spirit alive by creating short and feature films with nothing but passion, creativity, and determination. Starting so young myself, I’m genuinely excited to work with the next generation of filmmakers — helping them discover their voice, unleash their imagination, and maybe even remind me why I fell in love with filmmaking in the first place. I can’t wait to share everything I know, spark some creativity, and see the amazing stories our students will bring to life!

Laura Isles

From the moment I stepped on stage at four years old, performing has been at the heart of who I am. What started as a childhood spark grew into a lifelong passion, guiding me through school, college, and ultimately to a degree in Performance and Professional Practice from Sheffield Hallam University. Along the way, I’ve thrown myself into every corner of the performing arts-improv, stand-up comedy, Shakespeare, contemporary theatre, devising, directing-you name it, I’ve explored it with energy and curiosity. I bring with me a rich blend of experience across stage and screen, underpinned by in-depth training in the Stanislavski method and a deep love of both classical and contemporary performance styles. I’ve directed numerous productions throughout my career, each one teaching me something new about creativity, collaboration, and the magic that happens when a cast truly connects with a story. My passion for teaching grew naturally from my directing work and my long-standing involvement with amateur dramatic groups-most recently performing in the Robin Hood pantomime with the Duston Players. Supporting young performers as they find their confidence, unleash their imaginations, and discover their unique voices is one of the greatest joys of my career. Acting has always been my passion, but teaching has become my true calling. I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the PQA. I can’t wait to dive in, cheer on my students, and help them build skills that will last a lifetime.

Ruby Bennett

I’m a passionate Musical Theatre performer who cannot wait to begin teaching at PQA Market Harborough! I’m thrilled to share the skills I gained during my intensive professional training on the Musical Theatre course at Addict Dance Academy, where I developed strong, industry-standard technique in singing, acting, and dance. I can’t wait to bring that knowledge into the studio and help our students shine. My training quickly transitioned into professional performance opportunities, including the fantastic experience of appearing in *Legally Blonde the Musical* at the Haymarket Theatre in Leicester, where I had the privilege of working with choreographer Jared Hagman and director Amy Pemberton. Before even completing my degree, I was fortunate enough to secure my first professional theatrical role in Crossroads Pantomimes’ *Cinderella* at Nottingham Theatre Royal, choreographed by Alan Burkitt. During this production, I had the incredible opportunity to work alongside industry stars such as Craig Revel Horwood and Christina Bianco. I’m so excited for what the future holds and can’t wait to pass on everything I’ve learned from my training and professional experiences. My goal is to help every student discover their potential, build confidence, and - most importantly - have an amazing time learning and performing together!

Sherri Charters

Having performed on West End stages since the age of five, I bring a wealth of professional experience and a lifelong love of performance into the studio. Fully qualified to teach dance across all sectors, I have a particular passion for tap and musical theatre, and I thrive on sharing that joy with young performers. Teaching children is at the heart of everything I do. I love creating a fun, supportive, and high-energy environment where Poppets can explore movement, music, and imagination while building confidence and self-expression. My love for musical theatre has shaped me both as a performer and a teacher, and nothing makes me happier than watching children grow, shine, and truly sparkle. I am deeply passionate about nurturing creativity, individuality, and confidence in every child, and I cannot wait to inspire the next generation of performers at PQA Market Harborough.
