PQA Richmond has been trusted for over 10 years to provide exceptional performing arts training for young people aged 6-18. We’re proud to be a vital part of the local community, helping children and teenagers grow in confidence, creativity, and skill through the power of performance.
Due to our long weekend waiting list, we now operate three thriving academies - two on Saturdays and one on a Wednesday evening - each offering high-quality classes in Film & Television, Musical Theatre, and Comedy & Drama for students aged 6-18. Our team is made up of passionate industry professionals with years of experience across stage and screen.
We believe in maintaining an environment that’s fun, inclusive, and inspiring, allowing every student to achieve their full potential. Performing arts offer countless benefits, both personally and professionally - and every student’s journey with us is unique. Some discover a love for performing, others build confidence or develop filmmaking skills, while many join our successful agency, Quirky Kidz, to pursue professional work in the industry.
Our students have already achieved remarkable success, appearing in West End productions such as Kinky Boots, Mary Poppins, Mrs Doubtfire, Matilda the Musical, The Boy in a Dress, and Peter Pan & Wendy (Disney), as well as on Channel 4, ITV, Sky Atlantic, Warner Brothers, and CBeebies.
We’re proud to offer a wealth of performance opportunities, from open-air Shakespeare at Ham House & Garden to shows at Richmond Theatre, Strawberry Hill House & Garden and The ACT Theatre. Our Film & Television students have also enjoyed red-carpet premieres and won awards at national and regional film festivals hosted at venues such as Cineworld Leicester Square, The BFI Southbank, and Cineworld Greenwich O2.
We are privileged to run our academies from the brand-new performing arts building at Christ’s School, featuring state-of-the-art studios for dance, drama, and film.
Our team of industry professionals are here to help, guide and nurture your child on whichever path they choose - Comedy and Drama, Musical Theatre or Television and Film. Whether that be performing on-stage at His Majesty's Theatre in the West End to seeing your child's latest Film & TV work on the big screen - there's something for everyone at PQA. In addition to the exciting opportunities available at PQA, we also empower children to delve into other creative aspects of the performing arts industry.
