Alistair-Lloyd McCalla - Principal PQA Northampton

Passionate about performing arts training for children and young people.

Alistair has been working with PQA since 2013 joining as a Comedy Drama teacher before opening his own Academy in Windsor in 2015. In 2017, he joined the team at PQA HQ looking after numerous academies across the country and understands how groups like PQA can change the lives of our students on so many levels.

Alistair has an eclectic background in performing arts which started at a young age on and off stage, appearing in his first production at aged eight. Alistair is still an active performer and is working on various projects including a script for a television series. Having co-run a youth performing arts group before PQA, which produced shows at a large theatre in Berkshire, he is no stranger to working with budding performing artists. He has recently helped an alumni of PQA follow their dreams to train in New York, where they were offered a full scholarship. In 2014 he completed his master’s degree at Arts Educational School London in Creative Practice in Direction for Musical Theatre, this is where his love of working in performing arts training was ignited, and he is excited to work with the students at PQ Academy to develop their skills and passion for the modules we deliver. PQA is a place to build confidence, explore and hone new skills and find lifelong friends.
