PQA Morecambe & Lancaster is a weekend performing arts school for children, which offers performing arts classes every Saturday morning at the Bay Leadership Academy. 

Our weekly classes include Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television for children and young people aged between the ages of 4-18. At PQA Morecambe & Lancaster, we are passionate about delivering first-class performing arts sessions providing children with the space to learn new skills, make friends for life, build self-belief, confidence, in a safe and welcoming environment while they discover the world of performing arts.

The best part, there is no need to pick just one class, PQA's weekly three-hour sessions explore:

•    Comedy & Drama class: your child will learn creative play, Improv and scriptwriting
•    Musical Theatre class: your child will learn to sing, dance and act for theatre
•    Film & Television class: your child will start to storyboard, screenwrite, film and act for television

Managed by Principal Mairead and an exceptional team of teachers, we're passionate about what we do, and we strongly believe that the pivotal life skills your child gains at PQA, like confidence, resilience and communication will stick with them throughout life!

We welcome children and teens to try our performing arts classes by attending a full session at no charge. Come along and discover what makes PQA so unique, meet the team and join in the fun!

Your academy Principal will let you know how to become a member after your free session. Your child’s place is held for a few days after your session, giving you time to decide if PQA is the right choice for your child.

Hello, I’m Mairead, the Principal here at PQA Morecambe and Lancaster! I started my PQA journey at PQA Preston as a student and have not looked back since! During my time at PQA I have taken on many roles, academy assistant, early years teacher, musical theatre teacher and now Principal of my own academy here in Morecambe!
