PQA Lichfield is a weekend performing arts school for children, offering acting, drama, comedy, and filmmaking based at Erasmus Darwin Academy, every Saturday. 

PQA's weekly main academy sessions for children aged 6-18 explore:
•    Comedy & Drama class: your child will learn creative play, Improv and scriptwriting
•    Musical Theatre class: your child will learn to sing, dance and act for theatre
•    Film & Television class: your child will start to storyboard, film and act for television

In addition to our main academy led by Principal Janine and a talented team of teachers, we also have a 90-minute Poppets classes for children aged 4-6 sparking young imaginations through singing, dancing, and acting. We are passionate about delivering first-class performing arts sessions giving children the space to learn new skills, make friends and build self-belief.

Our team of industry professionals are here to help, guide and nurture your child on whichever path they choose – Comedy and Drama, Musical Theatre or Television and Film. Whether that be performing on-stage at His Majesty's Theatre in the West End to seeing your child's latest Film & TV work on the big screen - there's something for everyone at PQA. We welcome children and teens to try our performing arts classes by attending a full session at no charge. Come along and discover what makes PQA so unique, meet the team and join in the fun!

Your academy Principal will let you know how to become a member after your free session. Your child’s place is held for a few days after your session, giving you time to decide if PQA is the right choice for your child.

Hi, I’m Janine and I am the Principal here at PQA Lichfield. I am a qualified teacher, dance teacher and experienced performer and choreographer. I first appeared in pantomimes and musical theatre productions in Manchester at the age of 11 and went on to work in hotel entertainment in Spain and Egypt, choreographing and performing in numerous shows before becoming a teacher in 2011.
