PQA Leicester is a multi-award-winning weekend academy, which has been providing high-quality performing arts and filmmaking training in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment since 2011.

Every Saturday, young people aged 4-18 join us for exciting sessions which combine training in the arts along with essential life and social skills.

Students aged 4-6 take part in our 90 minute Poppets class:

Poppets: an introduction to performing arts, building confidence and social skills and encouraging creativity

Students aged 6-18 benefit from three modules every week:
• Comedy & Drama: devising, improvisation, and script work
• Film & Television: screenwriting, storyboarding, filming, and acting for camera
• Musical Theatre: singing, dancing and acting for stage

PQA Leicester runs from The City of Leicester College, which is a secure venue with impressive performing arts facilities and free parking. Led by Principal Karen, the long-established team are DBS-checked, safeguarding-trained and passionate about helping young people thrive and flourish.

Whether they dream of the stage, the screen or simply want to build confidence and enjoy doing something they love every Saturday, PQA Leicester is the place to be!
