Michael Fenwick

Passionate about performing arts training for children and young people.

Michael is extremely passionate about the performing arts and is thrilled to be the Principal at PQA. He has extensive experience in managing and delivering performing arts education to children and young people. Michael trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (also known as the Paul McCartney School of Music). He has had a varied career working as a freelance producer, director, musician and teacher in the UK and overseas.

Michael began his career working as an editor in broadcast television on programmes for the BBC, ITV and Sky TV. He later moved into location and studio production working for various production companies including Mersey Television, 21st Century Media, Hurricane Films and Liberty Productions. Michael was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award (RTS) for a documentary he directed in the North-East of England. He has a list of television credits that include 'Hollyoaks' (CH4), 'Grangehill' (BBC), and 'Holiday UK' (Liberty Productions). His most recent position was Head of Creative Arts Faculty at the British International School in Istanbul. Michael has a passion for musical theatre and has worked as musical director on many school productions over the years such as 'The Lion King' and 'Grease'. He is also a musician and composer and has set up many successful choirs with children and adults.
