PQA Chester offers performing arts sessions for children every Saturday and is located in the heart of Chester at The Catholic High School, empowering each student to act, sing, dance and film.
Led by Principal Jennifer and a talented team of teachers, we're passionate about what we do, and we strongly believe that the important life skills your child gains at PQA - like confidence, resilience and communication - will stick with them throughout life!
Our weekly sessions include Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television for children and young people aged 4-18. At PQA Chester, we are committed to delivering first-class performing arts sessions giving children the space to learn new skills, make friends, build self-belief, all in a safe and welcoming environment while they explore the world of performing arts.
The best part, there is no need to pick just one class, PQA's weekly three-hour sessions explore:
• Comedy & Drama class: your child will learn creative play, Improv and scriptwriting
• Musical Theatre class: your child will learn to sing, dance and act for theatre
• Film & Television class: your child will start to storyboard, screenwrite, film and act for television
Our team of industry professionals are here to help, guide and nurture your child on whichever path they choose – Comedy and Drama, Musical Theatre or Television and Film. At PQA, the excitement goes beyond performing, our students also explore creative pathways in the performing arts industry. Whether that be performing on-stage at His Majesty's Theatre in the West End to seeing your child's latest Film & TV work on the big screen - there's something for everyone at PQA. Take a look below at the exciting things we have coming up at PQA Chester.

I have worked for PQA for the last 8 years initially I started my PQA journey as a Film and TV teacher. I very quickly fell in love with making wild films on my weekends, and helping to tell our students hilarious stories through the art of cinema. I found teaching young people about film, camera, storytelling and working as a team to create something was incredible. Seeing the students grow in confidence and see their ideas on the big cinemas screen was something I loved!
