PQA Bury is a weekend performing arts school for children, offering performing arts classes every Saturday, located in Holcombe Brook Primary School, combining acting, singing, dancing lessons, filming and comedy.
Led by Principal Andrea and a talented team of teachers, we're passionate about what we do, and we strongly believe that the important life skills your child gains at PQA - like confidence, resilience and communication - will stick with them throughout life!
Our weekly sessions include Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television for children and young people aged 4-18. At PQA Bury, we are committed to delivering first-class performing arts sessions giving children the space to learn new skills, make friends, build self-belief, all in a safe and welcoming environment while they explore the world of performing arts.
The best part, there is no need to pick just one class, PQA's weekly three-hour sessions explore:
• Comedy & Drama class: your child will learn creative play, Improv and scriptwriting
• Musical Theatre class: your child will learn to sing, dance and act for theatre
• Film & Television class: your child will start to storyboard, screenwrite, film and act for television
Our team of industry professionals are here to help, guide and nurture your child on whichever path they choose – Comedy and Drama, Musical Theatre or Television and Film. At PQA, the excitement goes beyond performing, our students have had the honour of participating in the West End at His Majesty's Theatre and in enchanting pantomimes such as Snow White at the Long Field Suite. Our talents have also shone in production shows like Matilda and Wizard of Oz. Take a look below at the exciting things we have coming up at PQA Bury.
