Alice Ward

Alice gained her BA Hons Degree in Drama from the University of East Anglia and has over eight years experience teaching children a variety of skills to help them excel in the performing arts industry. She has a passion for passing on her knowledge and guiding the next generation of creatives. She has a strong Musical Theatre background having trained in Ballet, Modern,Jazz,Tap, Contemporary, Acting,Singing and Musical Theatre. Most recently she has been learning Ballroom and Latin dance, and consequently has been performing across the UK and Europe in many latin shows,congresses and festivals as a Bachata, Salsa and Kizomba dancer. She has performed and toured in numerous shows over the years, with each project more different from the last! Ranging from Shakespeare, to comedies, Musicals to tragedies. Her most recent Theatrical Credits include Miss Dolly in Jack and The Beanstalk Panto Tour, Mrs Hale in Trifles, Multi role Ensemble in Machinal and lead vocalist in Cabaret a Night at the Musicals. Alongside her work on stage, Alice can also be found backstage, having previously worked as a wardrobe mistress, a dresser and a theatrical costume maker. Furthermore, as a Set designer and constructor. So she is excited to see if she can also bring this creative flair to the productions at PQA Bicester.

Bethany Stevens

Since the age of six Bethany was part of PERFORM; a Musical Theatre and Screen Acting Drama Group, mainly specialising in acting and singing. Bethany had struggled with learning needs and found that performing was her way of expressing who she was and helped her find a new confidence. Bethany has performed in May productions both at her drama group and with her school, in competitions and opening up festivals such as Bicester and Oxfordshire Lights Festival with OYAP Youth Theatre Charity after finishing with PERFORM at age 13. She has also performed at Disneyland Paris as a Principal Singer. Bethany furthered her education for three years at the City of Oxford College in their Level 2 and Level 3 Extended Diploma of Performing Arts and Production courses. During her years there Bethany gained new skills and experience in areas such as Street Theatre, Period Acting, Acting for Camera, Musical Theatre, Physical Theatre and many production roles in makeup and hair, costuming, as well as lead vocalist and voice training, in which Bethany would lead some warmups during rehearsals and before shows. Bethany finished her three years of college with Distinctions. Bethany is super excited to be joining the PQA team and assist in teaching a new generation of actors new skills, helping to boost their confidence through the joys of acting, singing and film.

David Ingram

David began his filmmaking journey by attaining a HND in Creative Media Production in 2017, before moving on to gain both a BA Honours Degree in Film Studies and an MA in Film Studies: Popular Cinema in 2019 and 2020, respectively. David originally joined the PQA family back in 2011 with PQA Aylesbury as a student, remaining with the group for 4 years. He has performed in two of PQA’s West End shows and was involved in the creation of several short film/music video projects during his time at PQA Aylesbury. He has created a variety of short films and video projects throughout his years of study. All these experiences have led him to being involved in a number of independent film productions, including working on a TV pilot episode for a sitcom called “How to Dress for the Apocalypse” (2020). David joined PQA Bicester shortly after its launch in 2019 as the Film & TV Teaching Assistant, he is now very excited to be leading our Film & TV module, and to help provide the children of PQA Bicester with the same amazing opportunities he had himself.

Jasmine Rodhouse

Having trained in dance since the age of three - studying ballet, tap and Modern/Jazz - Jasmine has performed in several shows, competitions and festivals including the All England Dance Finals, productions of Chicago and Singing in the Rain with Odyssey Youth Company, and performed on one of the main stages at Disneyland Paris. Jasmine studied Performing Arts and Production at the City of Oxford College. During this time she gained skills and experience in areas such as acting for the camera, musical theatre, street theatre, post-production roles such as scene editing, audio and sound production, and dance technique, in which Jasmine lead some classes. Since completing her Extended Diploma in Performing Arts and Production, Jasmine has studied Musical Theatre, in America at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. During her time at the conservatory, she focused mainly on areas such as Vocal Technique, Acting, Singing and Monologue Performance, Scene Study, Ballet and Jazz. All of the tutors at NYCDA are industry professionals who are still actively working in the business, and so having this extra exposure and the inside knowledge from them added to her experience which helped her gain her knowledge and understanding of the Arts industry, as well as newfound confidence in her own skillset. Jasmine is very excited to be working at PQA, to move forward in her teaching and to share her passion for performing with all of the students at PQA Bicester.

Sophie Chatterton

Sophie started dancing from the age of two in Ballet, Tap and Jazz with the Louise Austin School of Dance. She then wanted to start improving her Acting and Singing skills, so when she was ten years old, she started performing in musicals in Aylesbury with RARE Productions, The British Theatre Academy and Vivo D’arte, including shows like Oliver, Annie, High School Musical and the Addams Family. At the age of sixteen Sophie was accepted at the Jackie Palmer Academy where she trained in Musical Theatre for two years. Throughout those years Sophie took part in Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet, Commerical, Acrobatics, Tap, Salsa, Contemporary Theatre, Classical Theatre, Physical Theatre, Vocal Tech in Singing, Ensemble Singing and Acting Through Song. She got the opportunity to perform in musicals and plays including, Christmas Cabarets, Musical Theatre and Acting Showcases, FAME, Legally Blonde and Chicago. After graduating from the Jackie Palmer Academy, Sophie got into an Acting Foundation Course at READ College, where she studied more in-depth acting skills and fundamentals. Sophie is looking forward to teaching at PQA and hopes to inspire young performers and pass down all the techniques that she has been taught through her years of study.
