Charlie Quirke, son of our founders, Pauline and Steve, will be embarking on a trek this Christmas to raise much-needed funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Charlie has challenged himself to trek from the 8th to the 12th December, that’s five days to bring ‘hope home’ for every family affected by dementia.
Like so many, Charlie has seen first-hand the devastation of dementia. And as it stands, there is no cure. Charlie is determined to change that, which is why he’s going on this gruelling challenge for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Over the five days, Charlie will cross five counties and travel over 140km to significant places for his family. His journey will be fuelled by friends, family and the determination to fund the research that will help Alzheimer’s Research UK to find a cure.
Tim Jenner, CEO at the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts, said:
“Family is at the heart of everything we do at PQA. That’s why coming together to support Charlie, Pauline’s son, means so much to us. His determination to raise awareness and funds is inspiring, and we stand firmly beside him and the whole family during this difficult time. By supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, we hope to play a part in driving the research, understanding, and ultimately the cure that so many families urgently need. Thank you to everyone who is sharing support, cheering Charlie on, or learning more about this important cause. It truly makes a difference”.
We’re working hard to raise significant funds to support this incredible cause. Every contribution makes a difference, and we truly appreciate any amount you can give. There are several ways you can support Charlie’s efforts to Bring Hope Home:
