If you're concerned about how to keep your children safe online then ChildProtectionCompany.com and PQA have arranged an online course specifically for you. It covers the key elements of e-Safety and what the risks are to children; including internet predators, sexting, social networking and cyberbullying.
It also provides information on how you, as a parent, can help reduce these risks and what you should do if a problem occurs. The course also provides links to some great e-Safety resources.
The course has been written by a leading e-Safety expert who has on the ground experience of working with many schools. It comprises 11 short modules followed by an assessment to test understanding. It should take around an hour to complete, although it can be paused and restarted at any time.
To access the course click HERE and follow the on-screen instructions to register and then you'll be able to start the course.
PLEASE NOTE THESE COURSES ARE STRICTLY FOR THE USE OF CURRENT PQA PARENTS. A CHARGE MAY BE LIABLE SHOULD OTHER INDIVIDUALS OR ORGANISATIONS USE THESE COURSES.
Don't worry if you can't complete the course in one sitting as the system will send you login details so you can return to the course at any time, returning you to exactly where you left off.
You must achieve 70% in the final assessment to pass and will receive free retakes if you don't achieve this. However, to maintain the quality of the course the assessments are different every time. When successful, you'll receive a personalised and portable certificate valid for 2 years.
