PQA Worcester
PQA Worcester is a dedicated performing arts Academy at the King's School, with classes for kids and young adults in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre (singing & dancing) and Film & Television.

PQA Worcester opened its doors for the first time in May 2015 to an excited crowd of young people from across Worcestershire and Herefordshire, who participated in an action-packed performing arts taster day in the accessible, state-of-the-art performance space at the King's School, Worcester, WR1.
Eight years on and 150 students from a wide range of primary schools, secondary schools and academies in Worcester, Hereford, Droitwich Spa, Stourport and Kidderminster are members of PQA Worcester. They share their passion for the performing arts and take part in professional acting, singing, dancing, filmmaking classes and external performances. PQA Worcester has performed twice in the West End, at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in the open-air at Spetchley Park Gardens, at The Royal Porcelain Works, The Coach House Theatre, The Royal Three Counties Autumn Show, at Worcester Cathedral with G4, at The Regal Theatre Tenbury with Opera Boys. It has staged whole academy productions of Peter Pan, Madagascar, Scrooge, The Railway Children, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, Star Crossed Lovers, Beastly Beings, The Adventures of Alice and two Cabarets. It has a 100% pass rate for its Trinity Exams in Musical Theatre and Acting. It has held two Red Carpet Cinema Screenings of student films at Vue Cinema in Worcester and has won an award for its anti- bullying film Glasses, at a Film Festival in South Korea. During the pandemic it kept its classes running on Zoom and even managed to stage am online Murder Mystery and an Awards Ceremony.
