PQA Wallington & Sutton is a weekend performing arts academy serving Sutton, Carshalton and Wallington, where students aged 6-18 spend 3 hours learning a variety of performing arts skills across our three modules in Musical Theatre, Comedy & Drama and Film & Television. Our Poppets sessions are an introduction to the performing arts for 4 – 6-year-olds. PQA Wallington & Sutton is open for 41 weeks of the year, and you can enrol at any time, subject to availability.
PQA Wallington & Sutton is a busy and happy academy, with classes for students ranging in age from 4-18. We encourage a spirit of teamwork, mutual respect, and enjoyment for all. At PQA Wallington & Sutton, everyone shines!
For those who are interested in taking the classes further, we have a long history of professional work in TV and theatre and are happy to help and advise any student wanting to create a career for themselves in the industry.
PQA Wallington & Sutton is based at Wallington High School on Woodcote Road, where we enjoy the use of their excellent drama and dance facilities. In addition to this, we continue to build relationships with local theatres and cinemas for special projects.
Michael began his life on stage in primary school, where he played the role of 'Shephard number 3' in the Year 6 nativity. His one line, "and Myrrh", sparked a love of Drama and the world of Theatre. Alongside his role as Head of Drama at a local Secondary School, Michael is often involved with local Amateur Dramatics groups in the area. He is a firm believer that Drama is an incredible tool to help young people understand and interact with the world around them in a positive way.
