On 18th August 2017, over 40 students from The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts in Beverley took to the stage at the prestigious Hull City Hall to perform in a charity show in front of a packed crowd.

The show, which was produced by East Yorkshire Motor Services, was organised to raise money for the NSPCC and other local charities. The students performed alongside other acts such as the Garnett Sisters, the All For One Choir and Dave Finnegan's The Commitments. The PQA students performed a selection of songs from the musicals Bugsy Malone and Chicago.

Principal James Aconley said "The performance at Hull City Hall was an amazing opportunity for our students to showcase their hard work over the past term. It's such a prestigious venue, and we were so proud that our students could perform there in the year of Hull UK City of Culture".
