Join PQA Bristol for their Friday Academy Launch.
Bring your children along to this highly successful performing arts academy to learn film, TV, musical theatre and more.
Is your child aged between 6-18 years and would like to get involved in performing arts? Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) invites local families to the launch of their Bristol Friday Academy on 5th May 2023. Your child might just find a passion for performance!
PQA Bristol’s Friday Academy will run concurrently with its successful Saturday academies, which have been nurturing young performers for 15 years. Sessions take place at Cotham School, a venue renowned for its fantastic performing arts facilities. Better yet, no prior experience in performing arts is necessary.
Students are split into age groups and taught by specialist teachers. During each session, students will experience three, one-hour long rotations in the following:
- Comedy and Drama
- Musical Theatre
- Film and Television.
PQA principal Carly Bond warmly welcomes children and young adults to the open day . Parents can stay for refreshments and to watch the classes, with the PQA team on hand to answer any questions.
Plus, your child could be the lucky attendee to win a term’s free membership! (T&Cs apply).
PQA strongly believes in rewarding and inspiring its students. Alongside regular reports to monitor their progress, students are awarded qualifications through Rock School London at no additional charge to parents.
Along with in-house productions, showcases and specialist masterclasses, PQA students have the chance to see their short film projects on the big screen of their local cinema, where they get to walk down the red-carpet, Hollywood-style!
Some films are even selected for the PQA Film Festival at Cineworld in Leicester Square. Students will also take part in a professionally produced show in London’s glittering West End!
If this sounds like something your child would love to get involved in, come along to the PQA Open Day at PQA Bristol and watch your child shine on stage or screen, or simply gain confidence in a new activity.
