The young performers went head to head in PQA's new national competition, The Monologue Slam, which was judged by Hollyoaks actor and West End performer Luke Jerdy.
Although Luke chose the top three performers from each age group, a total of three finalists have had their monologues recorded and sent to PQA headquarters for the chance to represent PQA Stockport at national level.
Thirty finalists from across the UK will travel to London later this year to perform in front of a specially invited audience.
Luke had the following to say about our Stockport students: 'Stockport has some really talented young people! The energy and enthusiasm for performing was great to see, the kids so clearly enjoy being a part of PQA. To get up in front of your peers and perform a monologue is daunting to say the least, so I was very impressed at both the bravery of acting choices and the unwavering support shown by those watching. Well done to all.'
PQA Stockport will be performing at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End on Sunday 30 September 2018.
PQA Stockport is enrolling now for their afternoon academy and will be holding FREE Taster Session on Saturday from 1.45pm-5pm at Stockport School, Mile End Lane, Stockport.
