Entering Films for Competition!

Nothing can stop our students, within weeks of being back at PQA after lockdown, we managed to write, shoot, edit and submit 2 excellent short films into the MyRodeReel 2020 film competition!

Our Red Group students (ages 13+) helped write, direct and shoot the films, under the supervision of our amazing Film & TV teacher, which were all shot in just 3 hours! We even managed to get a couple of ‘behind the scenes’ shorts made too.

We are so impressed with the unrelentless energy of our young filmmakers, and their ability to create in the most pressured conditions!

The two movies are quite different, one a comedy about money laundering through a school bake sale and the other a heart-warming story about love between brother and sister.

The short film ‘Sister’ was written by our very own Shula, herself a student at PQA, with original music composed specifically.
