A Christmas Carol review

Northern Stage
22nd December 2018

We all know the story of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. A festive ghost story that follows the character of Ebeneezer Scrooge as he is visited by 3 ghosts in an attempt to help him "become a better man".
In this production the cruel Scrooge was on the stage every second as the audience got to know him better and hope that he would come to understand the true meaning of Christmas.
Set in the round, the audience are guaranteed a good view no matter where they sit. The director has also changed the era the play is set from the traditional Victorian to a more modern 1920's with lively music and songs.
Highly recommended and thoroughly enjoyable, I would challenge anybody to leave the theatre without a warm Christmassy glow inside of them!
This play is suitable for the whole family but beware, the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come is quite scary!
