PQA Romford is a dedicated performing arts school, teaching a wide range of Performing Arts skills and influencing confidence. Each week students take part in our classes of Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television, led by our fantastic team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
Our Romford academy operates from Ormiston Park Academy every Saturday from 9.45am-1pm & 1.45-5pm where we welcome students from 4-18 years within the Aveley, Upminster, South Ockendon, Romford, Rainham, Dagenham, Chadwell Heath, Purfleet and Thurrock areas.

We are passionate about every student's personal journey with us, and the whole team work hard to ensure every single student is given the opportunity to become the best performer they can be and reach their potential creatively. Every student has something unique to offer, and it's our job to encourage this and develop it!

Comedy & Drama Classes
Our comedy and drama lessons provide our students with the knowledge of theatrical forms and techniques including: Improvisation and devised theatre to mime, mask, script work and vocal techniques in projection and diction.
Musical Theatre Classes
Musical Theatre classes combine singing, dance and acting. We teach our students a range of vocal and dance techniques giving them the ability to pass from dialogue to song and dance seamlessly within a performance.
Film & Television Classes
PQA is the largest provider of Film and Television education in the UK for under 18s. Our students will discover and develop talents in areas such as script writing, directing and acting for camera.

Natasha starting performing and training at the age of 2 years old when she started to study ISTD Ballet, Tap, Modern and RAD Ballet. She later went on to study acting under LAMDA and was fully trained in classical, opera singing and musical theatre.
At the age of 12, Natasha attended Italia Conti until she left for college at the age of 16 years. She completed her training at Tiffany Theatre College gaining a triple distinction BTEC in Musical Theatre.
Natasha has taken part in many feature films and has been involved in touring shows such as Annie and Chicago. Her true passion, however, lies in teachig the next generation of performers.
Natasha has been with PQA Romford since the Academy opened in 2012, starting as the Poppets teacher and later Musical Theatre. She took over as Principal in 2017.
Having started at PQA at the age of 12 Jo knew her passion for performing arts started at a young age. She studied musical theatre at Havering College achieving triple distinction, from then she has been an entertainer and entertainment manager for holiday parks with Hoseasons, Park holidays and aven. Jo has performed in two touring pantomimes and many musicals as leading lady. Jo loves being a teacher at PQA and sharing the passion of musical theatre with younger stars to come!
Film & TV teacher
Hello, I'm Annie and I am the Film and TV teacher at PQA Romford. I have recently finished University with a degree in Film production and I am an avid photographer. I think that it is fantastic to teach students of all ages the importance of Film & TV and I love that I get to do this at PQA Romford. Film and Television is a very different side to Performing Arts and I am happy to encourage my students to be themselves and to be as creative as possible, it is important to nurture their imaginations!
I look forward to helping the students create some fantastic pieces of work that they can be proud of!
Hi, I'm Ellena and I'm a Green group assistant!
I have a degree in Drama from Canterbury Christ Church University where I got a first.
I have been able to develop my skills in the industry ranging from acting, directing, facilitating workshops and working both back stage as a Stage Manager and with technical elements such as lighting and sound.
I also work as a teaching assistant during the week - and love to share my passion for Drama and Performing Arts with students.
Hello, I'm Carl and I am a Green and Blue group assistant at PQA Romford. I have studied Performing Arts in further education and have many years' experience in the performing arts industry. I am very excited to be working with PQA Romford and am pleased to help prepare the students for their upcoming shows and exams. I look forward to passing on my knowledge to the students and seeing them grow in confidence.
Comedy & Drama Teacher and Vice Principal
Hi I'm Ricki and I am PQA Romford's Comedy and Drama teacher and the Vice Principal. I have been working with the Academy for 5 years as a Group Assistant and I am overjoyed to now be the Comedy and Drama teacher which has been a dream of mine.
I even started my PQA journey as a student myself so I am pleased to show my students how hard work pays off and how you can progress in the Performing Arts industry. I have just completed University studying Acting and am currently training to become a secondary/college Drama teacher.
My name is Thomas Stansfield and I have been at PQA Romford for almost 4 years now and 3 of those years were as a student, so I know first-hand how brilliant this Academy is and I am proud that I can share my wisdom with the students that I grew up. I have studied performing arts at Havering Sixth Form College and have taken part in touring shows such as West Side Story and Little Shop of Horrors.

Hi I'm Ross and I am the Film & TV Assistant at PQA Romford. I am very pleased to be able to share my knowledge with the students and to help them create fantastic work that they can be proud of. I am currently training to become a school teacher and hope to share my love of Performing Arts with a whole new generation.
