PQA Muswell Hill operates on Saturdays between 9.45am and 1pm where we welcome students aged 4 to 18. Each week students have sessions in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television, led by our fantastic team of teachers who are all industry specialists.
We are always working on exciting projects which feature our students performing in a variety of different roles, in musicals, plays, and films.
We are passionate about every student's personal journey with us, and the whole team works hard to ensure every single student is given the opportunity to become the best performer they can be, and reach their potential creatively. Every student has something unique to offer, and it's our job to encourage this and develop it!

Carole Bowles worked for 15 years as a professional performer and actor/musician in a range of acting roles for touring theatre companies around the country.
Over the years she has worked with companies such Cracked Mirror and the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith as well as being a performer/workshop leader in a number of Shakespeare Globe Theatre Education projects. She has also made several screen appearances in TV, commercials and corporate training videos.
Since completing a Masters Degree in Drama and Theatre Education at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Carole has worked extensively as a Performing Arts Skills teacher, director and manager on a range of Theatre Skills Education projects for young people in London and the South East.
Carole is delighted to be a part of the PQA Muswell Hill family!
Maria previously trained at Madame Zeeta Academy of Ballet and also trained in tap, modern jazz and drama as she had a huge passion for performance.
Maria was brought up in London Muswell Hill and studied Travel and Tourism for a large part of her adulthood. She is a confident and knowledgeable individual with 28 years' worth of experience within the Airline/Aviation sector and customer service, whilst very knowledgeable about health and safety, and safeguarding children.

Maria strongly believes that the performing arts is great for the children, helps them with their confidence and most importantly to have fun, broadening their horizons. Having raised her own son into performing arts it had inspired her want to get involved with helping other children and seeing them expressing the self through this art form.
Maria is extremely happy to be part of this amazing team and look forward to all the opportunities and exciting events we work towards.
Film & Television
Sean's debut feature film PANIC, released in November 2016 is a London set thriller starring David Gyasi (Interstellar, Cloud Atlas, Containment). It premiered at the 2014 Raindance film festival where it was nominated for the best UK feature award.
PANIC has since been selected for film festivals worldwide including the Dinard Film Festival, East End Film Festival and Times BFI London screenings, and released theatrically to rave reviews.
His short films STRIPES, ROMANCE, FOUR LITTLE LETTERS & 3 x 4 have been broadcast and distributed by a number of organizations, including the BBC, Sky, ITV, The British Council and The BFI. They have also been selected for film festivals worldwide, including Edinburgh Film Festival, Clermont Ferrand, Manchester Kino, Berlin Britspotting and Soho Rushes. Stripes was also selected for Sight & Sound magazine's best UK shorts issue.
THE CAMPAIGN, his television drama about the 1980's AIDS crisis has been optioned by Hal Vogel & David Aukin at Daybreak Pictures. His feature screenplay BRUTAL YOUTH, set in the world of illegal child fighting was optioned by Simon Heath, World Productions. He has also adapted Martyn Bedford's dystopian war novel THE ISLAND OF LOST SOULS.
Sean was one of a handful of British directors selected for the Moonstone Filmmakers' Lab, founded by playwright John McGrath and headed by veteran French film producer Jean-Luc Ormieres.
Lewie studied at London Studio Centre, graduating in 2010 and was awarded the Lia Williams Cup for Outstanding Performance.
Lewie has since gone on to perform in Annie! The Musical (UK No.1 Tour, Asia tour), perform along side The Tenors (European Tour) and sang onboard two Carnival Cruise ships in their highly successful Playlist Productions. He has also worked as a session singer for many producers, singing on demos that eventually became hits for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Maroon 5 and Fifth Harmony.
He has also been a dancer for Richard Marcel, performing on TV channels such as ITV, ITV2 and E! Entertainment.
Comedy & Drama
Dan's Theatre credits include; Stephano in The Tempest and Fabien and Sea Captain in Twelfth Night (Both Minack Theatre Cornwall), Cast Member in Newsrevue (Canal Cafe), Macduff in Macbeth (Gatehouse and Baron's Court Theatres), Leonard Cummings in Neil Simons' Rumours (UK Premier), Sketch Performer in Comedy News Hour and Improvisor (and winner) in Improv Comedy Smackdown (both Leicester Square Theatre), Gog in Bob and Gog (Arcola Theatre), Gratiano in The Merchant of Venice and Helicanus in Pericles (Both Rose Theatre) and George Lusk in the Off West End Nominated Show Jack the Rippers London.
His TV credits include; Hugh in Anonymous (ITV1)The title role in a prime time documentary (Channel 5) as well as featured roles in Odd One In (ITV1), All About the Mackenzies (London Live) and Saints and Scroungers (BBC1).
His film credits include; Dale in Speed Date the Movie (Winner of 2 awards, LA Action on Film awards), Pedro in London Express and drug dealer in Consequences.
Dan's directing credits include; Great Expectations (Royal Victoria Hall and Thorndike Arts Centre), Do You Believe in Love? (Best Director Winner - Theatre Madness Festival 2012), But I don't Like Girls (Workhouse Theatre, Kings Cross), Lucky Strike (Canal Cafe) and Mugged (RADA Studios).
Dan has also been working as a Comedy and Drama teacher at PQA Tunbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Rochester since 2011 and is now very happy to be fulfilling the same role at the Muswell Hill Academy.
Lauren obtained a diploma in singing and musical theatre from the London College of Music at the age of 16. She moved from her home town of Huddersfield last year to study Acting at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She is now currently studying Music Performance and Production specialising in vocals at The London Centre of Contemporary Music.
Before moving, Lauren previously taught the Poppets at PQA Barnsley and was involved in directing musicals for The Razzmatazz Youth Musical Theatre Company.
Lauren has a wide variety of experience performing in musicals, pantomime and plays and is looking forward to passing on her experience and knowledge to the poppets at PQA Muswell Hill.
Winnie was brought up in London but studied Media and English at University in Bristol. She has always had a passion for performing arts and is in the process of auditioning for drama schools!
Earlier on this year she had a recall for the drama programme at Juilliard School in New York! As well as acting Winnie is also a social media manager and worked as a theatre critic, video editor and interviewer for LIVE magazine which works in collaboration with the Guardian.
She has also worked with The National Youth Theatre- site specific production called Swarm, Talawa Theatre Company- #I am England and with a project at the Roundhouse- A Little Bit of Me Dies. This was a succession of monologues and a collection on installations performed during the performing arts venue's Spoken Word festival.
