We operate on Sundays from 9.45am–1pm, where we welcome students aged 4 to 18. Each week students have sessions in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television, led by our fantastic team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants.

We are always working on exciting projects which feature our students performing in a variety of different roles, in musicals, plays and films.

We are passionate about every student's personal journey with us, and the whole team work hard to ensure every single student is given the opportunity to become the best performer they can be, and reach their potential creatively. Every student has something unique to offer, and it's our job to encourage this and develop it!

We would love to show you what we do here at PQA Loughborough. If you're interested in a free taster session, please call us for a chat and we'll arrange for you to visit the Academy, where Principal Rosie will be on hand to assist you. Alternatively, you can request a brochure or enrol online now – we look forward to welcoming you to PQA Loughborough!

Now with 10 years teaching experience, Rosie has trained hundreds of students in drama and acting at both PQA and Warwickshire Secondary schools.

She is passionate about the performing arts; what PQA is all about and ensuring all of our students get the most out of their training. Managing multiplying academies is her dream job and she ensures that the standard at each one is extremely high! As drama teaching is where it all started for her she jumps at the opportunity teach the Comedy & Drama module when cover is needed or give expert training leading up to shows etc.

Rosie thinks performing arts is not only beneficial for students who are working towards a career within this industry but points out its also beneficial for students who want to meet new friends and raise their confidence. PQA has a family feel and all students come weekly to learn but are having so much fun doing so!

I look forward to meeting you at the academy!

Shaunagh - Musical Theatre

Shaunagh has a wealth of performing arts experience, having grown up locally in Leicestershire she attended dance & drama clubs throughout her childhood. Shaunagh is a graduate from the excellent London Studio Centre where she studied a BA Hons in Dance Theatre. She specialised is Musical Theatre because this is her main area of interest and she is thrilled to be a part of the PQA team where she can impart her knowledge and skills to our students.

Shaunagh was dance captain in Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Adelphi Theatre London and has also danced in the TV show The Kumars for ITV.

She has always enjoyed working with children and has previous experience of running and assisting drama workshops at the Nottingham Playhouse and the Octagon Theatre in Bolton. On top of this, Anmol has some experience of teaching drama in a secondary school and college.

Anmol has performed in many shows throughout college and university which were mainly course-based projects. She also had the chance to write her own play. As a young child Anmol was not as confident as she would have liked and she felt the performing arts helped her build confidence as well as help her deal with her Dyspraxia.

Speaking from personal experience Anmol said, "I believe that performing arts can help with a child's confidence, personal development and help them express themselves. I can't wait to meet all our new PQA students!"

Film & Television Assistant

Jordan - Film & Television Assistant

Jordan studied a BA at De Montfort University in Dance and has recently begun his MA in Film where he will focus on creating pieces in collaboration with performance makers. Having experience within the two art forms means he has a wealth of knowledge to pass on to our students.

Creating artwork and educating others about different art forms are what drives Jordan, which is why joining the PQA family was a perfect step for him as he gets to work with and shape the minds of the new creative generation.

Working at PQA in the Film and TV Assistant role excites Jordan greatly, as it's also Loughborough's debut year, so hopefully we can both progress and thrive together.
