Hi! My name is Janet and I am both thrilled and privileged to be the Principal of PQA Doncaster.
I am extremely passionate about performing arts and seeing students excel personally and professionally in their own areas. Expressing their own personalities and working as part of a team, making their own journey, is so rewarding.
I have a wealth of experience to share with my students, being a professional working actress myself and having trained at Birmingham School Of Speech and Drama. I have performed in numerous Theatre In Education productions, Film and TV such as Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Heartbeat, Bodies II, and most recently, The Dark Side.
I have been juggling my acting career whilst working full time as a drama teacher and Director Of Learning for 13 years in a local secondary school. This teaching background will ensure a fantastic, structured journey and experience for the students of PQA Doncaster, with first class training, care, guidance and support from the experienced team of professionals working with your children. The academy is set in beautiful surroundings at High Melton ,and the facilities at the university are fantastic.PQA Doncaster is a family affair with my husband as a director, and my two daughters also being heavily involved in performing arts, we really do live and breathe performance.
I am so proud to be leading this academy in Doncaster . It is an exciting opportunity for all involved, whether it's to train students for a career in the industry or to simply improve self-confidence, and to grow as individuals, and make new friends, under the care and supervision of a talented professional and energetic team of teachers, whilst having heaps of fun!
If you love performing, you will love PQA Doncaster. Come and see for yourself!
Hi, my name is David AKA Janet's husband, AKA Tuck-Shop-Dave, AKA Marshy the First Aider!
Both of my girls are involved at PQA Doncaster and I was roped in to be Front of House every Saturday, look after the finance, work in the tuck shop, carry boxes, in fact, anything I'm told to do! Janet then realised how useful I was and promoted me to VP, which I am very proud of.
I absolutely love being part of the complete set up from behind the scenes to Front of House. I get to meet all the parents and answer any questions. I like to think that I bring the skills of my normal everyday job as a Quality Manager to PQA every week.
What I love is seeing the children grow in confidence and when I get to see them perform - I'm blown away. Performing arts will help them in any walk of life from general socialising, job interviews to performing. I enjoy seeing students' communication skills improve out of lessons too, and the lovely comments parents have about the academy are a joy to hear.
I do love the industry and did tread the boards when I met Janet back when we were both 14 years old. Some of our friends say we are the modern day Von Trapp family!

I have also performed in Little Shop Of Horrors as Ronnette, Our House, Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet and much more including professional dance tours.
