She successfully won The Stage Scholarship to attend The Academy Drama School, a full-time evening school, from 2004-2006, and since then has never looked back.
Debra has worked as a professional actress in every area of the industry. TV credits include Coronation Street, Call The Midwife, The Five, Eastenders, Doctors, Phoneshop, Fast Freddie The Widow and Me, and, of course, Birds of a Feather! Film work includes the feature films London Road, Junkhearts, Nightbus, and Angel. Radio - In 2015 Debra joined the BBC Radio Drama Company working on various Radio 4 plays including the series Home Front. She also provided voices for many other BBC programmes including Saturday Review, Witness and Book at Bedtime.
As well as acting, Debra has recently started writing and has written several short plays and is currently working on a year long monologue project, which she writes, casts, schedules, directs and sometimes even films!
Debra is thrilled to be Principal of Dartford, and excited to be working with a fantastic team and all the talented students.
